Did this back in 2008 when I was bored one night.
Then we made a movie, since I can build 3D models but am not an animator. Then it ballooned into a small project that was more fun then making skateboards. The end product came out pretty amazing but this is just an animatic or test of scale and how the robot would move.
Been working on this since 2008. I'll spend a couple hours drawing various army men, ink then and ditch them. I did away with the laser arm and added a M60 tank. The idea is to keep it 1955 to 1963 specific. I may actually scrap the Sikorsky H-5 (introduced 1948) helicopters to Sekorsky Sikorsky H-19 "Chickasaw". But I like the idea of outdated technology as if the National Guard are fighting the robot.
The soldiers are all equipped in 1959 and then discontinued in 1970.
I'm added other robots in the background, a nuclear explosion amidst a partially ruined city.
The idea is to make it the very end of a conflict and everyone is going to die.

| I like the tank arm better than the laser arm but I love the Kirby dots around the end of the laser. Find a way to put them somewhere in there. |

You know you wanted to say the correct term but was shy...
Kirby Balls!
My version is to make a white sphere in front of a black one. The reason is to be able to separate out the black dots ,make the color and raw in a forward layer of say yellow.
Kirby is the master.
