a day of rest, this needs some commenting. Two things that in our advanced skater-age seem to go damn well together, motorcycles and skateboards...at least for me (and some of my friends.)

This illustration does come from the Daily Devil aka Devil-a-Day series that I spent a little of 2010 and the majority of 2011 creating. The inspiration for the moto-devil came from my bike, which up until a month ago was my daily rider for 2 years (7days a week, rain or shine.) A month ago the taillight went out (not the bulb), and the bike was just way out of tune, so I put her down for maintenance. It's tough to get back to her, and I'm now relegated to a bicycle since all my time is taken with my infant son Remy, my almost teenage daughter Salma, and my wife, and my full time job, and trying to start a business on my own.

My bike is a 1974 Honda cb450, which I bought with an unknown amount of miles on it, in really poor condition for $500. I built it twice. I've always been into skating, and bikes. They were two things that correlated for me. I don't know why though, because I found skating on my own, but bikes were introduced to me by my dad.

When Hank posted in here looking for an artist who rides motorcycles, I hopped on the request. I knew I wanted to put this Daily Devil out there. It lent itself well to a skateboard, especially the layout in terms of how narrow I drew the image. I knew it would look great in a tip-to-tail situation.

After illustrating the moto-devil a second time so Hank could have the separations, I was again asked for a top graphic (which hasn't been posted in here.) The top graphic is nice and simple, but it does have my sentiments on a day of rest. I wrote a small letter, in a sense, to that day where you can wake up, and just have that stare into the distance feeling. It goes well with the bottom graphic, and I hope for anyone who orders one of these boards, they find the top graphic to be a nice little addition to an already awesome board!

Thank you to Hank, for asking me aboard to do this guest artist deck. I'm extremely excited to have one of these underfoot and hitting the parks!!!

Wood was cut yesterday! I will keep the top graphic hush hush until the boards are done. have to have some sort of surprise. The boards are natural bottoms as shown with colored top veneers. I am super stoked on these and looking forward to doing the next in the moto bike series this summer!

great bike, and great art! thanks again Jeffe!

here was my kawaski 550 LTD Cafe Racer... this sat for 10 years.. paid $250 for it... put about $500 into it and was offered $2500 it... could argue with cash... kinda wish I would have kept it... Gob knows were the money went!
